Nirmaan Hosts Leadership Summit 2025–26 for 50+ Student Leaders from BITS & Badruka

Nirmaan hosted the two-day student Leadership Summit 2025–26 on July 21st and 22nd for student chapters of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and Badruka College Of Commerce and Arts. These chapters are part of Nirmaan's college-based collectives, where students engage in experiential learning to develop social leadership and a strong sense of community responsibility.

The summit had over 50 student leaders participating. The first day began with engaging field visits where students personally interacted with persons with disabilities at PWD skill centre Vidyanagar, listened to inspiring stories at the Cancer Survivor Center in Panjagutta, and visited the Vocational Training Center for women in Fathenagar. At Hope in a Cup, Kothaguda, Deepthi Sirla, our LGBTQIA+ Project Manager, shared the inspiring story behind the LGBTQIA+ led café and students also had a chance to interact with Nirmaan’s internal leaders.

The second day focused on leadership development, with participants attending organizational and departmental presentations, engaging in interactive team-building workshops, and listening to inspiring leadership stories that enriched their understanding of leadership.

We were graced by the presence of Prof. V S Rao, former Acting Vice-Chancellor of BITS Pilani, and Director of the BITS Hyderabad Campus, whose inspiring words truly energized the cohort. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our academic partners, BITS Pilani, BITS Goa & Hyderabad, and Badruka College. The summit concluded with a heartfelt ceremony, celebrating contributions and leadership spirit of every participant.

Empowering Tomorrow’s Workforce: Nirmaan Partners with T-GATE to Shape a Future-Ready Telangana

On a mission to empower a future-ready Telangana, nirmaan.org is honored to partner with T-GATE (Telangana Gateway for Adaptive Training & Employment), a pioneering initiative by Govt of Telangana, Shri. Vivek Venkataswamy, Honourable Minister for Labour, Employment, Training & Factories & Mr. Dana Kishore IAS, Principal Secretary, Labour, Employment, Training & Factories (LET&F) Department, and the Directorate of Employment & Training.

This innovative program is poised to transform Telangana into a model state for workforce development excellence.

The initiative’s objectives include: * Improving 100% admissions in hashtag#ITIs and Advanced Training Centres (hashtag#ATCs) * Supporting 2 lakh youth through short-term courses * Launching a robust digital platform * Introducing industry-aligned curriculum in upgraded ATCs * Mobilizing CSR support to scale this visionary effort by the LET&F department

On July 5th, Mr. Mayur Patnala Kankanala (India/Bharat), Founder & Global CEO of Nirmaan, presented key insights of the initiative to Shri. hashtag#VivekVenkataswamy in the presence of Mr. Dana Kishore, IAS. The Honourable Minister acknowledged the value of the initiative and pledged his support, underscoring the government’s commitment to collaborative action.

The event culminated in a milestone moment with the Honourable Minister officially unveiling the new logo for ITIs. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony honouring the dedicated service of retired principals from ITIs across Telangana.
