Our Objective

    To inculcate the ideology of “Giving back to the nation” in students and facilitate the development of communities nearby to their college campuses / locality.

Program Description

The students across all the four chapters extend their support in the community development by executing a wide range of activities catering to the needs of children, women and senior citizens.

Nirmaan Organization had a very impactful year 2023-24 as all the student chapters have been very eventful and engaging throughout the year. It encompassed operations in the fields of Education, Health, Participative Community Development, Women Empowerment, etc. which includes Tuitions to the underprivileged children, arranging Health Camps, Food Clothes distribution in the communities, stationery kit distribution at schools, celebrating events at schools and nearby communities, visits to the old-age homes and orphanages, etc.

Nirmaan Pilani

Nirmaan, founded in 2005 by BITS Pilani students, is a beacon of hope driven by passionate volunteers committed to transformative change. Celebrating its 18th anniversary, Nirmaan has significantly impacted grassroot levels, empowering individuals in Pilani. The organization focuses on education, women's empowerment, and community development through eleven ongoing projects, positively affecting countless lives.
Its diverse projects include the School Adoption Program, which has transformed government schools with infrastructure improvements and holistic student development, and Project Unnati, which empowers women with skills for financial independence. Nirmaan’s initiatives like Shiksha Ki Ore and Participatory Community Development address critical needs from education to health and sanitation. Empowering over 200 women through skill development and helping achieve a 100% pass rate for 10th graders in its adopted school, the dedication of BITS Pilani student volunteers has been instrumental in achieving Nirmaan's significant initiatives and milestones, reflecting values of unwavering commitment, resilience, and hard work.

Nirmaan Goa

Nirmaan Goa Chapter, established in 2007 by BITS Pilani students, is a student-led force for social change with over 250 volunteers from BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. For 17 years, it has excelled in education, employment, healthcare, and community development. Key initiatives include supporting the education of over 200 slum children, organizing annual blood donation camps with over 150 donations, and conducting beach clean-ups.
The chapter also empowers women by providing them employment through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and provides health check-up camps and awareness sessions for underprivileged communities. Nirmaan Goa has organized over 15 events and launched 20 impactful initiatives, demonstrating a relentless drive for social empowerment and positive change.

Nirmaan Hyderabad

Established in 2012 at BITS Hyderabad, Nirmaan BPHC fosters volunteerism and social leadership among nearly 200 active student volunteers annually. The organization hosts several impactful flagship events like Manthan, Ignite, Project Parishkaar, Joy of Giving Week (JOGW), and Udaan.
Manthan, an NGO conference, unites at least 10 student-led NGOs to address social issues collaboratively. Ignite, a three-day fest, provides 300+ underprivileged children from orphanages with inspiring experiences, including performances, workshops, activities, and career guidance. Project Parishkaar offers one-on-one tutoring and mentorship for 70+ children of non-teaching staff. Joy of Giving Week (JOGW) features events like Letter of Joy, Dish of Joy, Joy of Serving, Joy of Giving, and Wish Tree, promoting the impact of giving. Udaan enhances education and extracurricular activities for children through math sessions, science experiments, aptitude classes, life skills, personal development, and career guidance. Through these initiatives, Nirmaan BPHC inspires and empowers students to engage in meaningful social change and shapes a brighter future.
