India Floods Response 2022
This year various parts of our country are facing incessant rains and the resultant floods are wiping off not just people's livelihoods but also their homes.
While we had started working for relief activities in the state of Assam, there was devastating news pouring in from states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar; hence we have expanded the scope of relief and rehabilitation intervention to across all these 6 states as "India Floods Relief Project" (Operation Sahaaya 7.0).
Nirmaan Action Plan:
Based on previous intervention in flood affected areas from Hyderabad, Kerala and other disaster relief works, we have initiated the need assessment in these states to understand the requirements of the communities. In the first phase, we will be supporting Ration and Hygiene Kits for the immediate needs and survival of the families in Telangana and Maharashtra.
Each kit would cost Rs. 2000 and will be customized as per the on-ground conditions and habits of the communities being served. On an average, these kits would include:
- Ration kits
- Hygiene Requirements
- Mosquito repellents
- ORS Sachets
We are targeting to impact 5000 families across the 6 states, while partnering with the local organizations/ volunteer groups to identify and support families from underprivileged communities.
