Introduction
The Disruptive Digital Intervention (DDI) Program is a long-term sustainable initiative to provide a motivating and encouraging environment for Government High school students from socio-economically marginalized sections of the society in both the Urban and Rural areas of Telangana by setting up Digital Labs. These Labs will serve as a secondary source of learning for students, apart from the teachers, while taking them a step closer towards Digital Literacy.
Program Description
HYSEA in partnership with Government of Telangana and Nirmaan as the nodal NGO partner, is planning to establish Digital Labs at various Government High Schools which have supportive school managements and good students strength. The objective of the program is to provide Computer Education to the students of Government High Schools so that the children will be able to use the computers as the secondary source of learning while teachers being the primary source.

Student Testimonials
Before starting the computer classes, we are not able to use computers at all. I was even afraid of computers before. But now I am able to use computers for my project works and also I
have prepared the documents in computers on my own. Thank you so much for providing this opportunity for us.
– Samprita (9th class), ZPHS Cheekurthy
The computers classes are very helpful to students. Student’s attendance has significantly increased after starting the computer classes. Students are eager and showing a lot of interest in learning about the computers and are being competitive with one another. Scope of learning computers and gaining English knowledge has increased significantly.
-Gouri Shanker, M.Sc., M.Ed, Head Master
Though I know how to start the computer and operate it, I was only thinking that it is useful to play games. This lab helped me know what computer exactly is meant for, it’s various uses which I don’t know. Because of this lab, I got a chance to improve my typing skills and computer knowledge from entry level. There was no person to teach me, now I can clarify my doubts and learn new things daily because of the computer trainer.
