Qualcomm Empowers Future Innovators Through STEM Camp in Hyderabad

Qualcomm successfully conducted a four-day residential camp session at Don Bosco School, Hyderabad, from January 19 to 20 and January 26 to 27, 2025, for over 210 Nirmaan’s Aqriti Career Saathi Program students, supported by Qualcomm. These students are pursuing 10th grade and Intermediate 1st year across various schools and colleges in and around Hyderabad. The highlight of the camp was the STEM Model Preparation activity, where students were provided with raw materials and a conceptual framework to design innovative models. With the efforts of 45 volunteers, this hands-on experience enabled students to apply their creativity and problem-solving skills, building fully functional working models from scratch. We thank Qualcomm and its leadership for their persistent commitment to extending their generosity in empowering students through CSR initiatives with Nirmaan.

HSBC Software Development India Inaugurates Women In Tech (WIT) Skill Center in Bengaluru

Marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to empower women with skills and enhance their employability, HSBC Software Development India successfully inaugurated the Women In Tech (WIT) Skill Center at Bommanahalli, Bengaluru, on January 17, 2025. As an enabling partner for this skill center, the project will provide skilling training to 370 women in two years and provide placement opportunities to 260 women. Key leadership from HSBC - Bidisha Dutta, Pradeep Venkata Subramaniam, Poornimadevi P, Deepika Sandeep, along with delegates from the government, Mr. Nanjundaiah KM, Superintendent of the Social Welfare Department, Nirmaan's Board of Director Vineet Saxena, Global Head of Fraud and Credit Control Services; and Mayur Patnala Kankanala (India/Bharat), Founder and Global CEO of Nirmaan.org, attended the ceremony. Following the inauguration, we held insightful sessions for the students, including course completion certificate distribution and engaging talks with industry experts. We extend our sincere thanks to HSBC and its leadership for this significant step in establishing a skill center to empower youth with skills and employability.

Empowering women through skills: Graduation at Nirmaan Vocational Training Center

On January 16, 2025, Nirmaan Vocational Training Center, supported by HSBC Software Development India in Shivajinagar, Pune, hosted a memorable graduation ceremony at their Pune Campus to celebrate the accomplishments of 60 women beneficiaries who successfully completed their training in tailoring and beautician courses. The event was a joyous occasion, featuring a Street Play that creatively depicted the Nirmaan Class Journey and a vibrant Fashion Show that showcased the confidence and skills of the graduates. Adding to the celebration were heartfelt speeches from the women, many of whom shared inspiring stories of personal transformation, newfound independence, and job experiences. Their gratitude for the training and the unwavering support from HSBC was palpable. The event marked a pivotal moment for these women as they embarked on a path toward self-reliance and a brighter future. We extend our deepest gratitude to HSBC for their continued partnership and for making this milestone event a reality.

Infosys Foundation Launches Youth Employment Program Center in Warangal, Telangana

We are excited to share that our CSR partner, Infosys Foundation, hosted the soft launch of the Youth Employment Program Center in Warangal, Telangana on January 11, 2025. Enabled by nirmaan.org, the center has been operational since November 2024 and has achieved notable success by placing 56 individuals in various companies. Currently, 50 students are undergoing specialized training in ITeS and Full-Stack Java, equipping them with essential skills for promising career opportunities.

The event was graced by distinguished guests Mayur Patnala Kankanala (India/Bharat), founder and global CEO of Nirmaan, along with Nirmaan's senior leadership team, Venkat S K Tankasala and Anuradha Pulla; Renuka Devi, Warangal DRDA Officer; Krishna from Criscorp HR and CSR volunteers from Infosys Hyderabad DC, Mamata Trust.

Bosch Spreads Warmth: 275 Blankets Donated to Rasoolpura Residents

The New Year brought cheer to some underprivileged. In celebration of Bosch's Annual Day, a charity lottery contest was held by their employees, in collaboration with Nirmaan. On January 8, 2025, the generous sum enabled Bosch to sponsor 275 warm blankets to residents (labourers, daily wage workers) aged 55 and above in Rasoolpura slum in Secunderabad. It was just what they needed during the ongoing chilly winter nights! Thank you, Team Bosch for spreading warmth.

These labs, facilitated by nirmaan.org as the executive partner, aim to empower 310 underprivileged students by providing them with resources and opportunities to excel academically and thrive in today’s digital world. Empowering Lives: CGI and Nirmaan’s Relief Efforts for Flood-Affected Families

In light of the recent devastating floods and landslides in several states of India, CGI, a leading global IT and business consulting firm, in partnership with Nirmaan as its CSR partner, successfully distributed livelihood re-start kits, agriculture kits, and sewing machines to affected families in Wayanad (Kerala), Assam, Khammam (Telangana) and in Pune during December 2024 and January 2025.

Nirmaan’s team executed the following relief and rehabilitation efforts: - Distributed 10 sewing machines and 15 agriculture kits to landslide-affected families in Wayanad - 20 sewing machines to flood-hit families in Assam - 20 Kits including - 10 Sewing Machine, and 10 Pushcarts for rehabilitation efforts in Pune. - Distributed 42 livelihood re-start kits, including 20 sewing machines and 22 pushcarts with fruits, vegetables, and weighing machines to flood-affected families in Khammam.

On December 27, 2024, we have hosted a comprehensive Job Drive at our Youth Employment Program center in Ameerpet supported by ADP, providing a platform for 125 students to explore career opportunities, network with industry professionals, and attend interviews. The event was designed to connect students with roles that align with their academic backgrounds, skills, and interests, fostering meaningful employment pathways. Enhancing Education Through Art: HCL Foundation’s Uday Project at GHS Golconda

Deloitte Volunteers Empower Youth with Career Guidance Session in Secunderabad

On December 13, 2024, the dedicated team of 28 employees from Deloitte, Hyderabad, turned enthusiastic volunteers to host a purpose-driven and impactful Career Guidance Session at Nirmaan’s Youth Employment Program center in Secunderabad, supported by Mindspace, benefiting 39 beneficiaries. The event provided a valuable platform for one-on-one interactions between our beneficiaries and the experienced Deloitte employees, who offered exceptional support. These sessions allowed participants to clear their doubts about interviews, gain insights into current market requirements, and receive practical advice. The Deloitte team shared motivational stories and insightful suggestions, leaving the beneficiaries empowered and better prepared for their future endeavors.
