DBS Tech India Volunteers Visited Orphanage for Volunteering under Project Unnati

Volunteers from DBS Tech India recently visited the Girls Orphanage in Lalapet for a day of impactful volunteering under Project Unnati. The team donated thoughtful kits for the new academic year containing clothes, books, stationery, and goodies for the girls. They also conducted interactive sessions on health, hygiene, and safety, imparting valuable knowledge. The volunteers brought warmth and genuine engagement, enriching the day with cultural performances and meaningful interactions. Project Unnati, supported by DBS Tech India, goes beyond immediate needs by holistically supporting the orphanage’s initiatives with nutritious meals, educational support, skill development programs, and infrastructure enhancements. This comprehensive approach empowers the girls to have healthier, brighter futures. We sincerely thank the DBS Tech India volunteers for their dedication and commitment to creating lasting impact.

Celebrating the Success of the Sports for Change South Zone Championship!

From June 20th to 22nd, 2024, Acharya Nagarjuna University in Vijayawada buzzed with the spirit of sportsmanship as Nirmaan Organization partnered with HCLFoundation Foundation to host the Sports for Change South Zone Championship. This initiative aims to enhance access to sports for students from government schools. With 150 young athletes from Telangana participating, the event featured competitions in kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, and athletics. So far, 8000+ children and youth from various states of India have participated in 4 editions of National Level ‘Sports for Change’ competition, and 150 Sports Scholarships have been awarded across various categories to promote excellence in sports. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 20 dedicated volunteers who played a crucial role in making this event a success. Thank you, HCL Foundation for your unwavering support! Excited to Announce that We’ve Won the CSR SMX Awards and Summit 4.0 as Best Impact Award

We are beyond excited to announce that we've won the CSR SMX Awards and Summit 4.0 as Best Impact Award for our transformative EKIDS and Digital Literacy Programs, supported by EPAM Systems on June 21, 2024. Through the e-Kids Digital Lab program, we've downright impacted over 5,300 underprivileged students in classes 6 to 9, ages 9 to 14, across Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, and NCR. With EPAM’s unending support, we're bridging the educational gap and making a real difference in their educational journey. A huge thanks to EPAM Systems for their incredible support and for bringing hope to so many underprivileged children. Together, we can continue to turn the dreams of more underprivileged children into reality. We would extend a hearty congratulations to the leadership of John Mota for proactively being part of the project from its inception.

Over the past 2 years, we have organized around 20 voluntary Blood Donation camps within the premises of Osmania General Hospital, showcasing our steadfast dedication to humanitarian causes. Support the ‘She-Enviro Impact’ Project for Female Students in Government Schools.

Introducing the 'She-Enviro Impact' project, a solution to support female students in government schools by providing accessible sanitary products and proper waste disposal facilities. We aim to install sanitary pad vending machines and napkin incinerators in residential girls' schools, benefiting students from Class 5 to 12. This initiative will divert 30,355 kg of hazardous waste from landfills annually, directly impacting around 8000 girls across 20 schools in Telangana. The Chenchu community, a Vulnerable Tribal Group from Amaragiri village in Nagarkurnool district, was once trapped in bonded labor. They were rescued by the state government but unfortunately faced the threat again. Witnessing their dire circumstances, Nirmaan intervened to support these communities through our PVTG Village Adoption Program, with steadfast assistance from ServiceNow. Together, we provided boats, essential resources, and capacity building in entrepreneurship (EDP), ensuring their independence and keeping them away from the vicious cycle of bonded labor. Today, we are proud that these communities have significantly progressed from their dire conditions. Our continued commitment and interventions are empowering the Chenchus toward a sustainable and independent future. Sincere thanks to the Service Now leadership for their continued support.

On June 6, 2024, our LGBTQ+ community had the privilege of showcasing their talents and contributing to an inclusive society by conducting stalls full of our exclusive handmade products from the '@Hope In A Cup' and 'SWASHA' initiatives. All this was made possible when our corporate leaders like State Street Services India Private Limited, who stepped up to create opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community, allowing them to showcase their talents and foster a more inclusive society than ever. We are always grateful to Statestreet leadership for the mesmerizing work they do to create a larger impact for underserved communities. A big shoutout to all the wonderful volunteers who expressed their interest and purchased products from these stalls. Jennifer Larson, the U.S. Consul General of Hyderabad, Visited Our Unique Cafe ‘Hope In a Cup.’

We are delighted to share that Jennifer Larson, the U.S. Consul General of Hyderabad, visited our one-of-a-kind cafe 'Hope In a Cup' in Madhapur, Hyderabad on June 5, 2024. This cafe is proudly run by LGBTQI+ beneficiaries of Nirmaan’s LGBTQI+ Skilling and Entrepreneurship Development Program. Ms. Larson was inspired by our initiative to promote inclusivity and engaged with our LGBTQI+ beneficiaries, congratulating each individual involved. She experienced the program’s impact firsthand, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of our cafe while savoring delightful snacks and drinks. Ms. Larson was impressed by how U.S. and Indian companies use CSR funds to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion and employment opportunities. We discussed the importance of supporting more entrepreneurial endeavors by LGBTQI+ communities in the future. World Environment Day is a crucial day of our collective responsibility to protect and preserve the planet we call home. On June 5, 2024, Nirmaan Organization in collaboration with YASH Technologies celebrated World Environment Day in Hyderabad and Pune, with a vibrant Seedball-making activity where 150+ enthusiastic volunteers have participated in spreading joy and greenery throughout our community!" Seeing everyone fully engage in the process and take pleasure in each moment was a heartwarming sight. By using a range of vegetable seeds, such as flower, methi, dhaniya, and palak, we were able to increase biodiversity and advance sustainability. This project not only strengthens our bond with the natural world but also increases our shared responsibility for protecting the environment. We're planting the seeds for a better, greener future together. We are grateful to @Sejal Jain Nidhi Singh (She/Her), the leadership, and all the amazing volunteers for making this activity with Nirmaan possible.
