Across India, women especially from underprivileged communities are still underrepresented in the tech industry, often missing out on opportunities due to limited access to quality training, mentorship, and job support.
At Nirmaan USA, we believe every woman deserves the chance to build a career and achieve economic independence. Many of us in the diaspora know what it means to face barriers in pursuing education and careers, and we want to give back to the communities that shaped us.
Through the Women in Tech Program, Nirmaan USA provides free training, personalized mentorship, and job readiness support, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry and become changemakers in their communities.
Host campaigns, cultural events, and workshops to raise funds for training and placements
Provide virtual mentorship to women in career planning, confidence-building, and leadership
Establish skill centers to provide free training, and job readiness for women in technology
Track training progress and job placements, and share success stories
With the support of Shri Beyyala Sree Ranga Rao, the Women in Tech Skill Centre trained 161 youth in 2023–24, and 112 of them got jobs.
Goal for 2024–25: Train 240 youth and help 168 get placed in jobs, creating more opportunities through tech skills
