Thermo Fisher and Nirmaan Inspire Hands-On Science Learning for 140+ Students

What if practical, hands-on activities became the way to teach scientific concepts to students, making learning engaging and experiential, beyond traditional textbook-based methods of teaching science?

Thermo Fisher Scientific, with its 12 passionate volunteers, in collaboration with Nirmaan Organization, conducted an exciting Science Volunteering Activity for over 140 students at GGHS Golconda, #Hyderabad, on December 19, 2025.

From exploring air pressure and balance through the Balloon Chair experiment to engaging with a Space Shuttle activity that sparked curiosity in space science, Class IX students experienced science beyond textbooks.

Meanwhile, Class VII students actively conducted practical experiments in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, gaining a solid understanding of key scientific concepts.

The sessions were made even more engaging with an interactive science quiz and a motivating discussion on the incredible journeys of Indian women scientists, encouraging students, especially girls, to dream big in STEM fields.
