Stellantis and Nirmaan restore Ameenpur Lake through environmental clean-up drive

The beautiful Ameenpur Lake, tucked along the edge of Hyderabad, has been gradually choked by horseweed plants, endangering its natural ecosystem.

Deciding to revive Ameenpur Lake and restore it to its natural state, nearly 25 volunteers from Stellantis India & Asia Pacific took part in a lake-cleaning drive organized by nirmaan.org on December 5, 2025.

For nearly two hours, the team worked hand in hand to remove horseweed plants, a major contributor to water contamination and a serious threat to aquatic life.

Representatives from the GHMC Regional Office, along with a Stellantis leadership, were also present during the drive to strengthen the impact further.

A heartfelt thanks to Stellantis and all the volunteers for playing an important role in helping restore Ameenpur Lake.
