Let us act before nature reacts again!
Disasters in India have risen at an unprecedented scale in the past decade. Floods, cyclones, landslides, and other natural disasters have intensified both in scale and impact in recent years, costing the country $12 billion or INR 1 lakh Crore in 2023 alone. India recorded 32.3 million internal displacements due to disasters between 2015 and 2024, ranking third globally.
With disasters intensifying in scale and impact, the need has emerged to create a pre-emptive pool of resources that can be dispatched without delay. Therefore, with Project Punar Nirmaan, we aim to ready a pool of funds that can be used to provide supplies immediately.
Over the years, Nirmaan's relief efforts through its flagship disaster relief campaign, Operation Sahaaya, have delivered urgent assistance, including food, medicines, and temporary shelters, while also supporting long-term rehabilitation to restore livelihoods.
Relief that reaches on time can mean the difference between despair and survival.
